I love porter, but I had a "Sea Dog Porter" flavored with hazelnut that tasted like cheap, flavored coffee from a 7-11.

In Reply To #7 You don't like Celebrator? I assume that is the Ayinger? Just wondering why? That's one of my favorite Doppelbocks.

In Reply To #8 AHHHHH!!! Well I was a big fan of the brew, oh 25 years hinter. BUT, over the years, it has grown to be a shadow of its old self. There are dozens of D-bocks that will shame the current issue of Celabrator in Deutschland. Don't get me wrong, I love to drink in Aying, it is a do Not miss it spot. Still, you can only get Celabrator in bottles... and just up the S-bahn two or three stops is Perlach-now there fellow bock lover, be the real deal. Hirsch (Wurmlingen-wormtown) Ender 16 is what Celabrator used to be-a full flavored delight. On another note, you must understand these taste buds of mine are a bit worn. On my personal judgement level-what do da brew do to ya the next day-Ayinger products are perfect.

In Reply To #1 Yes, and when you get a bock or dopple bock fresh-and it has all the flavor spectrum one has been told can not happen with a lager-yeast, malt, some spice and everything nice, then a song breaks out and folks get to offering you their daughters and wifes, well I bet you don't get that bock in the states no matter what is on the label. By the way, my university is sending an extraction team over in August, it is deemed I am have WAY TOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!

Interesting. I'd say IPA would be my favorite style as well. Least Fav Top 5 (1 being the worst) 1. Trout River Hoppin' Mad Trout 2. Sea Dog Old East IPA 3. Wolavers IPA 4. Shipyard Fuggles IPA 5. Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA - surprisingly and I'll get this again to re-review it.

i love wheat beers and white's but have yet to find one in the category of "american wheat" that i like. very bland. they are nothing like belgian and german wheats. i think the least fave had to be grasshopper, followed by u.c. wheat.

Youngs Dirty Dicks --- Just plain bland. Fullers London Pride --- Watery and not much body to it. Westmalle Dubbel --- Most acidic and carbonated of the Trappists. These were all not very impressive.

New Knoxville Traditional Pale Ale is the worst beer I've ever had, and I love pale ales. I think it's because it takes nothing like a pale ale and instead tastes like vomit.
