Email bugs fixed

Website Comments by FLASHPRO

Ever since the new site went live, there was a bug in the links to the site when a password reset or new user registration was emailed. The reason was that I wrote and tested the email code prior to buying an SSL certificate for the site, which meant I used "http://www.beerpal.com" instead of "https://www.beerpal.com" So for the last six months, all kinds of people were signing up or resetting their passwords and the links were failing! It was not an obvious issue because the site would appear to load correctly. The http would automatically switch to https, but the parameters in the URL would duplicate themselves. Hopefully, we get some new members now!

noted Pals has become Beer Morgue over a year ago! I don't drink any more..or less then in the past. I wonder if the Old Pals have gotten a life, grew up (God forbid) or worse--jumped ship to some other brew site. I am currently in Wales, and in Blighty proper for an extended visit. Been damn wet, very Green and brews...well stories will follow!!!

Do to Age....?I am not the fierce bock swiller of me younger self preferring lower ABV (max 6%) as a General rule. So...ran into McEwan's Champion 7.3%. This is NOT"Scoth Ale" sold stateside. First off the bottles were 3 weeks new. Dark, thick, not bitter of sweet, 3 Bears Just right as can be. "Wee Heavy"...all the stuff, thick head, lacing....two 500ml...Done! Cost 1.79 Sterling $2.32 half liter (roughly)considering 25 oz "Tinny" Fosters in back woods Kalifornia is $2.79 to $2.00 DEAL!! Bad news...due to InBev and SAB/Miller take overs one finds Buttwiper locally. will say no more. Also Lagunitas products and Sierra "headaches" adorn shelves "over here" now. Get this Staropramen Chez Lager is brewed locally in Burton on the Trent??!!! 680 ml for 2 pound...round $2,6 US...very nice lager...5% you all know it...Fresh beats hell outta same for same in Kalifornia. Theme here..Fosters is brewed in Texas...so a Chez lager brewed UK...there ya go! I am in Eat Midlands very agricultural and retired working class folks, like me ownself. Prices are on par or lower then where I live...with the Exception prices are in Pounds Sterling so add .31% to any figure one sees.. This is a broad overview details to follow

I personally drink less beer, but also enjoy it more when I do! Glad to see you're still around, BradPear!

I’m still alive. Met Heemer while working in Iowa. Added to the list of the many BeerPals I’ve encountered over years. Cheers!

I'm trying to tout BeerPal to my beer-loving friends. I mention it at the local Beer Meetup. Suggestion: If you have a beer-themed page on your personal website, add a link to BeerPal.

There used to be a BeerPal section on the beer rating page on Wikipedia, the section has been removed some time over the last decade. Maybe somebody needs to re-add it......

Maybe after I get the site updated. I should have the site working well enough to let you guys see it this month. A majority of it works already.

cyrenaica is forcing a bunch of us to be here, add our backlog of reviews, add new beers and breweries, etc. I do hope it comes back, or some of the old crowd comes back. There was a lot of interesting people on the forums back in the day!
