Bought in San Antonio in half liter can...4 for $4.87! Very good quality Pils, and for the $$ unbeatable. This bier is Not available in north Kalifornia, closest thing we get is Bitburger for $5 4 pack half liters, and Hienigger 6 half liters $6... Colbitzer beats em hands down. 5% abv, very good on a hot afternoon, just good ole Bier!! If this was locally available it would be my go to brew. On a side note I find cans are way better in general then bottle brew shipped from afar. Trick is pour into a glass on opening...for best effect.

reviewed this several years ago, and loe and behold here in the hinterland it appeared one again...so...this is NOT Vitus..Vitus has a front of airplane glue...this first sip is rubbing alcohol...of course the brewery tried to Ruin it with dry hops but were defeated by the yeast...due to the 8.7 abv...the wood alcohol taste fades...this is damn sure not Aventinus...what is...still for me $$ best that the louts those silly buggers at Lagunitas produce...like a lost love hello baby put it on me!!! But beware come morning..I detect a Katta....ya know why ya lost her!

My original review of this must be lost. Nox Vomica. You want a hangover x 10 drink this swill. Poured it down the sink, drain puked it up. lost coast is a local Bad Joke..and this is their star..Old Rats Pukin...avoid it...charcoal mixed with cheap vodka...

i see this as a top quality "malt liquor" or a lager version of I'll Pass Always...depending on the bottle one finds strong hop flavor to more even blend of hops, slight malt and Alcohol. From the other review, and what I see taste vary from bottle to bottle. Bottom line for ale haters like me self, this is a welcome brew.Wonder how Lagunitas will fair being 50% of hinnycan now? Surely the lads made a Fortune of of the sale...

Want a nasty infected flavor with salt added usually reserved for Belgian sours? Here is the German version made by those kings of headaches Sierra Nevada. got to hand it to em, this taste like the original which is bad...in a good way. I appreciate Belgian sours in Flanders mind you, and this one is well uh just not my bier. One swig of this swill you know why the German Purity laws came about! Real barf, in a good way, try it? once? sicklybrau at best...
