Midnight Moon Cherry Moonshine
Non-Beer Discussion by KENDOSURF
This review is over two years old, but the jar I bought yesterday is the same formula imo. He describes a prune flavor in there. I know what he's talking about, but I thought it was like a splash of maraschino cherry juice in a tumbler of ethanol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfdOJmTeh-s The right links may interest you. I like the cherry shine enough to maybe try the smoother flavors in this line. [^] [:0] I recommend this one ONLY as a sippin' liquor. I'm not a big time liquor consumer, but I can down a few shots of good 80 proof product, no problem. I tried that with one shot of this 100 proof concoction, and I fought hard for a very long minute to keep it from coming right back up! It's not the taste, it's the stomach saying "What The F_ck is this powerful sh_t that you just bombed me with...?!?" [xx(] [:)] Cheers!

[:)] It so happens that I hit a few rye links, with interest, as I was looking into today's so-called moonshine products. I drank rock and rye as a teen; back then it had rock candy in the bottle and no lemon. https://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/bulleit/bulleit-rye-whiskey/ Bulleit Rye isn't a bargain buy, but it's less expensive than other rye liquors that I saw. What's more, lots of the ryes contain large amounts of other grains. Bulleit is 95% Rye. I'll be looking...[;)] [8)] Good point for the Cherry Moon. It won't tempt you to guzzle down a whole jar in one session! Even if you could, it might require a trip to the Emergency Room (aka Urgent Care in these parts). Those smoother flavors, especially the 100 proof Midnight Moons and other brands, may be a real hazard. [8]

If you want those "flavored" 'shines, the Panty Droppers, then try the best - Sugarlands. Ole Smoky is ok, just widely distributed. Sugarlands is the best legal moonshine distillery in Tennessee.
