Porters listed as Ales??
Website Comments by HANTRAN
To add a Porter you have to first classify it as an ale and in the BP definition of Porters it states (accurately) that most are lagers. What the heck???

It says that most Baltic Porters are lagers. I think that traditionally this is true, but there seems to be a lot of crossover with Imperial Porters which are generally ales. As far as the generic Porter classification it has them as ales. I certainly understand the confusion with the way the click through options are created. Maybe one of the admins can clear this up?
Funny enough, I asked about the same brewer on Ratebeer back in 2009! RB ended up listing it as contract brewed at Genesee. http://www.ratebeer.com/forums/trouble-brewing-company_118293.htm http://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/world-brews-winery-exchange-inc/12165/0/2/
[:)] Thank you for this. Yeppers, Genesee is known for its contract brewing but isn't all that great afa general ratings. I like (need I say it once more?[:D]) Genny Bock and a number of Dundee brews. Genesee Cream Ale is quite popular in reviews also. It's ok, imo.
