Non-Beer Discussion by KENDOSURF
Downfall (2004) is one of the best, but less well-known flicks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downfall_(2004_film) Solarmovie.ws has an English subtitled version; there are others including German-dialog-only. I hesitate to post an active link. I may be ignorant or paranoid, but the various SuperBowl XXIII links I put up were pulled soon after. Is this what is known as hotlinking? Don't wanna make it more difficult by trying to be helpful! [:0] I was of draft age and out of high school when The Lottery was in effect. Somehow the Draft Board misidentified me as a college student (4H). I sorta forgot to inform them of their error. [:D] [;)] As it turned out, my # was 250...Very Unlikely that I would have been called anyway. But that 4H was a comfort indeed until The Drawing. [8D] In recent times I have developed an interest in real and reality-based movies about warfare. Downfall is one of those, but WWII isn't my exclusive interest. Can we let this thread become a war flicks' discussion, worthy of our thoughtful comments? [:)]

[:)] Yup, it's a good flick which I just finished watching. Not a documentary, but a war-based novel. "TV fans will want to keep an eye peeled for bit parts by James Doohan from Star Trek and John Banner from Hogan's Heroes. ~ Mark Deming,"

36 Hours with James Garner. Not a shoot 'm up but a psychological one. Also has John Banner (Sgt. Shultz of HH)

The turkey was good, but discovering that I have niece or nephew on the way was much better.
