I got a sampler of their scotches last year. Pretty awesome stuff.

It's nice but not $150-$200 a bottle nice.

Agreed. I split the cost with some friends once to do an epic tasting of ALL the Johnnie Walkers, and while Blue was my favorite, it was close...and the other great ones (green and gold) were waaaaaaaay cheaper. And the black (IMHO) is the best bargain.

That's all comforting to know. I've had the Green before, and oh dear Zeus was it impressive. Black is my go-to spirit/favorite scotch; and I suppose we'll just be spending more time together.

I bought myself a bottle as a gift a few years ago. I routinely see it for well over $200 in stores, but found one at a Coast Guard base exchange for $145, so I pisked it up. I usually go single malt, but this is a really good, really smooth blend. I probably will never spend that much on it again, certainly not over $200, but looking back, it was a worthwhile purchase. paired with an Opus X cigar and had a nice evening.
