Congrats on catching up to Clash. :P Keep up the good work !!

Usual grocery stores and supermarkets around here can sell beer, and wine seems like a sort of tenuously available item...often, it's wine-like budget concoctions. Hard liquor is ONLY available in liquor stores. Yup, GENNY is known for contract brewing. You and beerdog have been posting quite often. Congrats! [^]

Got a mixed 12 of beers from Aldi recently. An IPA, an APA and an amber. Decent stuff especially for the price.
Went to Vella's in Constantia NY today. Not far, but I seldom venture out that way. Along with groceries I got a great discount on a glass 12 of Great Lakes Variety Pack. $18.99 bt&d is the regular price, and one rarely sees SALE PRICES for beer in these parts...usually they are set and long-standing; Popular, Premium, and Super Premium or Craft. http://www.origlio.com/beverage/variety-pack-2 $14.99 instead of their usual $18.99. I've drank the Edmund Fitzgerald, and if the rest are of comparable quality I'll be very [:)].
I wished we got Great Lakes west of the Mississippi. An underrated brewer that I always enjoyed. The last mix pack I got was a set of Stone IPA's. A few were pretty good.

I've now tried each of the styles at least once. By my definition, none of these are "sessionable"; that is, they are a bit too flavorfully bitter to toss 'em back on a hot summer day (+ 85 F here right now). Sipped slowly, or drank with a meal (as I just did with a Pale Lager) is best.

[:)] Recently got another mixed 12 from Leinenkugel's. No bargain price; a rather steep cost @ Top's. [:0] I can't find this Explorer Pack version online! I assure you it does exist...the carton is on the bed about three feet away. Alrighty then, here's what this pack contains: https://leinie.com/beer/anniversary-lager https://leinie.com/beer/oktoberfest https://leinie.com/our-beer/original https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/710/2355/ Didn't find this brew at leinie.com, either...[?] It's a typical Leinenkugel offering. Good beers bridging the gap between BMC <<< * >>> CRAFT. [^] ---------------------------------------- [8D] Today I happened to be in the right place at the right time! Rite-Aid had a small assortment (about 10 sixers) of Craft IPA's (several brands) @ 50% OFF. I got two six packs of https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/287/1093/ which is a sorta rare Like! for me. Only $5.50 per sixer bt&d. Didn't want to hog up ALL the Two Hearted's, and the other IPA's aren't familiar. [|)] [8)] I'm a bad beerpal for including this here instead of in an appropriate topic thread. I'll serve my isolation time willingly...if conditionally allowed some of THIS brew along with the Extra Gold Lager! [:D][:p][;)]
[:0] After drinking and enjoying some Two Hearted Ales, I discovered that the package date was 11/01/2016! Thanks to Ron Theriot's review, which prompted me to look for it. Kudos to Bell's. If their nine month old brew is this good, how would it have been when it was nine days old? [:p] [^] Beer looks, smells, and tastes just fine.
Got a (hopefully) good 12-pack a couple of months back, from my local Central City. It's a collaboration with 12 other Canadian craft brewers (nation-wide) to observe Canada's 150th birthday. Haven't got into it yet, let alone adding the beers (my bad), but reviews from other sources suggest some goodness awaits.
[8)] {sigh} This poor ol' site does have its problems, doesn't it? About a week ago I tried to post a completed review, but it didn't "take". I won't try to do it all over again. Here's the basics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZmyjWGu1jI [^] Nice selection; six different varieties. However I didn't like the Tropic of Yuzu. I guess SA wasn't sure what kind of beer it should be before it went into production. **** out of *****.
