Non-Beer Discussion by BLUESANDBARBQ
Most folks on BeerPal know I'm All VOL, Tennessee through and through. My wife is from Ohio which means I better like Ohio State too (right kinger?!). This Saturday, my niece who is a senior sousaphone player in THE Ohio State Marching Band is DOTTING THE i !!! Huge honor. I've never been to a game at Columbus but I will be there with my family this Saturday vs. Indiana. Yes, I'm even missing a Tennessee home game against Vanderbilt to be there. Family First! Anyway, I'm stoked. It's gonna be colder than a Siberian well digger's ass but I'm prepared to beam with pride when Ms. Emily Bochenek Dots that freaking i! Honestly just wanted to give a BeerPal ShoutOut to my niece. Y'all toast, even if you can't stand Ohio State, toast my niece - what an honor! Just found this great story! What kills "Call of Kthulu" for me is that they didn't seem to know how to end it. It sounds like it is reaching a terminus, and then it doesn't...."Orion" is so structurally sound, and the break in the middle is just the dynamic shift it needs to save it from being too repetitive. But then, I've always been more partial to Master of Puppets as a whole than Ride the Lightning. Why do you prefer "Kthulu?"

Metallica- "Orion." Those guys were at the top of their game there. The best thing Cliff left us with before he shuffled off this mortal coil.
nah always preferred those 2, and "Ides..." was always more of an intro for "Murders In The Rue Morgue"

Anything that I've heard from Cultus Ferox, a German rock/bagpipe band - it's like Metallica meets The Chieftains. I only have it on a CD (and iPod). I'll try a YouTube search in a bit. Some songs have lyrics, although I can't understand a damn thing they're saying, but some are pure instrumental.
