Can't make it down for lunch, but hope to see you on one of your future trips. 1- There's a Woodman's Grocery in Beloit (1885 Madison Rd); I haven't been to that particular store, but the ones in Madison carry a great selection, including CW, Tyr & NG, at reasonable prices. Other recommended Wisconsin breweries you should find represented include 3 Sheeps, Lake Louie, Ale Asylum, Capital, Lakefront. 2- Two brewpubs worth a visit, not in Beloit, but in Rockford. Carlyle has good beer with ok pub food, but I'd suggest Pig Minds. It's actually in Machesney Park, IL - about 12 miles south of Beloit, easily accessed off I-90/39. Very well-made, interesting brews and an innovative all vegan menu. That's right, a vegan brewpub - BYOB (bring your own bacon).

Thanks, John! Woodman's website looks promising. I've yet to try 3 Sheeps, added to shopping list; Ale Asylum and Lake Louie are already on the list. Both brewpubs apparently don't do lunch; they open at 3pm, and, intrigued as I may be by the vegan brewpub concept, I'll be way down the road by then! Hope we can get together another time!
