In Reply To #2 Yeah that sucked. I wanted to see the Steelers win. That last interception killed them (not that the other 100 turnovers helped either!) I'm a Giants fan, but as most of you know, I live outside of Philly. Some of my co-workers dragged me to an Eagles fan club pub today to watch the game (we're in san francisco now). My ears are still ringing from the 100 fans that were there. It was almost unbearable to be there. Hopefully the Patriots give the Eagles an ass spanking. In Reply To #4 I hate to say it Flash, but then again I don't.....I want just the opposite....I want to see Jerimiah Trotter just lay out Tom Brady.....and wipe that pretty boy smile off of his face!!!!...Forgive me, but the Patriots just make me deathly ill!....and the thought of them becoming the "Dynasty" that the media wants them to become is just adding salt into the wound!

In Reply To #5 Sorry Oiz, but Roethlisberger turned out to be a rookie afterall. He was outmatched the whole game. I tell you what though, I didn't like the Steelers game plan to start the game. Why not throw a couple deep balls to Mr. Deep Plaxico Burress to stretch the D. What's Burress average a catch, 20 yards? My Patriots did it again... hopefully Owens DOES play, and is one ROdney Harrison hit away from being on the sidelines again. Should be a good game... and yes Oiz, the Pats are becoming the Dynasty everyone wants them to be. It's just too bad everyone wants that, I remember watching this team during their 1-15 season. Doesn't everyone always pick the Patriots to lose though. MOst analysts picked the Colts... then most analysts picked the Steelers. Was the same ole story last year. Patriots 27 Eagles 21
In Reply To #6 You are soooo right SC...Big Ben certainly did return to earth in a big hurry..(the writing was n the wall from the previous game against the Jets and it finally came back to bit him/us in the ass)..and brought the Steeler Nation back with him....But alas, I am not placing blame on anyone....It just wasn't meant to be, even with the 15 and 1 record, a la the 1985 Bears.....Or the 1995 Niners (I think)..... I beg to differ with you that everyone picks the Pats to lose.....That was not the case for this AFC final.....The Pats were favored all week by three.....and did most analists pick the Steelers???...I don't know...I try to avoid pregame hype before such events......From my standpoint, I thought the CBS telecast of the game was very one sided in New England's direction.....From the games outset......That's just my personal view.....Again with regard to the Pats being favored, after I saw the point spread, I knew that that it would be all over for the Steelers.....It was reminisent of the 1998 AFC final where the Steelers were favored early in the week by 3, but then the odds makers changed it to Denver by 3!....I knew then and there that the Steelers were going to lose!......Just a hunch I have (had).....at any rate, no use crying over it....I am glad it was a great season for the Stillers!.....I look forward to next season!..... Big Ben really isn't all that good right now fellas. Sure, his record was impressive and he made some nice throws throughout the year. He's got all the physical tools and the confidence to be a good QB in the NFL in the future, but all he did last year was throw the ball 15-20 times a game without making too many huge mistakes and rely on a devastating defense, o-line and running game. It's not as though he was going out there and winning these games all by himself. He handed the ball off to the bus, ate up clock and let his defense win games. I hate when the media hypes up a player to be something they're not....kinda like they did with Eli Manning. The bottom line is the Steeler's had a great season and won in spite of Roethlisburger...not because of him. Belichick and Co. exploited that in the championship game.
