Pelican On Kickstarter
General Beer Discussion by JTODD5DOT1
Found this yesterday on Facebook. Pelican Pub is doing a Kickstarter campaign for their new larger brewery (yeah! maybe I'll be able to get it here in Cali!). FWIW, I'm not involved with Pelican, just lived there when the building looked like it did in the "original PC building" photo on the page. Before it looked like that, it was a pizza join, sort of. Little Ceaser's Pizza was better. Anyway, I just thought it was interesting that they've gone the Kickstater route. Yes. I've heard a lot about this. Their beer has vastly improved and it's one of the most beautiful settings to have a beer that I have ever been to. It seems like there are quite a few breweries around the country going this route.
Definitely a cool location. Been there a few times including 2 weeks ago! Pics below of that trip. But I'm not into donating money to a successful business.

No. The most popular Haystack Rock is the one at Cannon Beach, which is up north another 50 miles or so. They look similar. According to Wikipedia this rock is also called Haystack Rock and there is one other!

I love Pelican beers and I've been there for MoaS releases but they are established in an incredible locale. I have a different view for the use and support of using Kickstart. I don't blame them for going that route though - count me out. I will continue to love them from afar.

In a completely biased way I would have to disagree that Cannon Beach is the more popular. Just 'cause Cannon Beach has been more touristy for about 30 years longer (PC is working on it thanks to Pelican). This is the REAL Haystack. [:D] Nice sunset pic's.
