Sad to see a couple peeps have had bad experiences with this brew. I love it and recently forgot to enforce my own check the date policy. Just cracked one bought locally last week...bottled July 2012. Luckily for me, though the hops may have faded, it's still fruity, and the Brett has taken over. I never would have aged one on purpose, but am thoroughly enjoying it.

I wanted to store one or two in the cellar to see how well the brett would take over, unfortunately this beer is so damn good the bottles never stood a chance.

Thanks to slowrunner reviving this thread, I went and got a 4-pack and made a preparada/chavela and hoolleeeeeee shit. That 4-pack was gone before I knew it. What a great way to beat the heat.

Heard from our local distributor this beer may only be a CA release this year. With Green Flash expanding markets greatly in 2014, they don't want to scare any new customers off with gushers, which RV has been doing more often, so they plan on keeping it a little closer to home, in established markets. How close is yet to be seen. They are pretty new to Reno, so who knows...

Green Flash beers are just too damn expensive in oHIo these days compared to other options, but Rayon Vert would be the beer I'd most likely revisit.
