Lou...forgot to mention...you have to tell us who had the honor of performing "Voodoo Child".......I really am interested in that.....also, I would imagine that Chris Layton is going to be playing the drums for Kenny Wayne, as he did when I saw Kenny Wayne @ the Heinz Field rib cookoff a few years back.....good stuff....I wonder if that old preacher dude is still playing keyboards for Kenny Wayne......Viva Hendrix and the Blues baby!...... This narrows down the list a bit of who is performing in Knoxville: Mar 8, 2012 Knoxville, TN Civic Auditorium Performance Roster: Featuring Billy Cox, Buddy Guy, Keb' Mo', Jonny Lang, Robert Randolph, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dweezil Zappa, Brad Whitford of Aerosmith, Slide Brothers, Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, Eric Gales, and Mato Nanji of Indigenous. Still a stellar list of guitarists. Two words: BUDDY GUY. Many of you do not know Mato Nanji from Adam but believe me, he is an incredible guitar player. REPLY: Lou...I have Indigenous' web site bookmarked....they used to get a substantial amount of airplay on WDVE up here, but that was back when WDVE was a real radio station.....Indigenous rocks...... While we're on the subject of Hendrix, can you verify something for me?...Last night I was chatting with one of my ham buddies, and we started talking about Jimi Hendrix (Ironically Enough)....this dude said that Hendrix played for another band before the Experience...Is this true???.....I just can't remember..... And Jimi was replaced in Little Richard's Band by Albert Collins. Albert told me that himself one of the times I talked to him.. Albert recorded three albums in Nashville; Jimi was based out of Nashville before the Experience days. A lot of great musicians and artists crossed paths back in those days.

Chris "Whipper" Layton backed him and everyone else, except Buddy Guy, on drums. And having seen Stevie Ray Vaughan back in the day, KWS's version was every bit as electrifying and sizzling as SRV's, maybe even better. There. Yes, I said it. And SRV is my all-time favorite guitarist. The show was just fucking EPIC. That is all.

Great Photos, man!...How did you get away with taking them???....[:D]....Did a little reasearch....Jimi's band before Noel and Mitch and after Lil Richard was called "The Blue Flame"....and of course everyone knows he and the Experience were booed off the stage when they opened for the Monkees......Learn something new every day.....Looks like you had a tremendous time....wish this would come to P-burgh....I just may open up the wallet for a lineup like this.....[8D]....... P.S. Buddy Guy is the bomb!.....
