Happy Birthday, Johnny Winter
Non-Beer Discussion by FRETWALKER
68 years young today! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SeLISb0xyg Gotta love that Gibson Reverse Firebird (been looking for a set of those 13:1 banjo tuners for 20 years!) And check out that lucite bass, gearheads, I think it's an Ampeg Dan Armstrong model, with interchangeable pickups. Happy birthday to the whitest bluesman in the history of music!

Johnny does one of my favorite version of Mojo Boogie. He is one bad ass slide guitarist. (Video quality sucks, sound quality great.)

Better video and great sound. This from 1987, the last time I saw a JW show. Sound The Bell

One more thing about Johnny, his latest "album" is one of his best releases in years. ROOTS. Check it out; it full of blues standards and great guest appearances including Warren Haynes, John Popper, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Sonny Landreth and John Medeski. One of my favorite blues releases that I bought last year. Johnny Winter - ROOTS
