Curious to see if this is the same as their Talon Barleywine, only repackaged and updated.
If so shouldn't they be combined or aliased?

I have one that I'm aging. I'll check it out vs. the Talon stat and otherwise.

Two different beers, although I don't see what's "Imperial" about it other than the name.
I hear next for them is a "Black Stout" [;)] After I posted this I saw on Beernews or something that it was stated as a different recipe. Is Talon still produced though, or is this a replacement I wonder.

We get Mendo in Reno and I haven't seen Talon for years. For what it's worth, it's not a loss...neither was a particularly worthy barleywine IMHO. [:D] 3.2 (Talon) and 3.4 (Imperial). My average BW score is a 3.9!

Thank you...lol. I don't think Talon is still produced, although I will lookin into that. It's been at least 3-years since I've seen it on the shelves. That doesn't mean a whole heckuvalot, so I'll definitely check.
