SoCal beer tour...
General Beer Discussion by STOUTLOVER72
So I spent the last few days in the SoCal sunshine (and I do mean sunshine...high's in the mid 80's...went swimming..awesome) spending some time with Mickey Mouse for my daughters birthday. I was able to hit up some places that don't get much chatter in beer circles, since San Diego gets most of the limelight (and deservedly so). Stopped by these places to enjoy there wares and pick-up some rare bottles at a nice wholesale price... The Bruery Ladyface Alehouse Eagle Rock Belmont Brewing Angel City Wolf Creek Oggi's San Diego is great, but I didn't even scratch the surface with the L.A./O.C. area but there is some great beers being made down there. The down side is that everything is so dang far apart. I wanted to hit up a few others (especially Hangar 24) but couldn't due to the drive/traffic. All in all, all the stops had great beer being made. Ladyface and The Bruery were standouts though.

Ladyface is really great. I became acquainted with them this summer at the Blues/Beer festival in Mammoth Lakes. Can't buy them where I live though; I'll have to wait until next August for some more. I have been enjoying the Bruery offerings that I can find. They're expensive but worth it.

This was my first introduction with them, and really enjoyed everything about them. Unfortunately, I don't think they are going to expand any distribution up my way but one can hope.
