does anyone collect beer bottles, caps, labels etc? I started collecting bottles, but after a few hundred it's starting to take up a lot of space.

In Reply To #1 I collect pints from different breweries and bars as well. Got about 10. I used to collect caps to keep track of the brands I tried. Using beer pal is easier and takes up less space
I've always collected the coasters/beermats and have kept adding to those my father collected in Europe back in the late 1950's. The bottle collection may become a problem as I hope to display them in some way, perhaps on shelving in my yet-to-be contructed workshop. But, at over 250 bottles and growing weekly, space may a limiter. Maybe cash in the domestics and display the imports only?
I collect caps in a box. As I drink them I toss them in the box. Then when I have enough, I go out and buy a clear lamp, and fill up the lamp with the caps. It's acutally a pretty cool thing. The last time I made one, my ex took it with her when she became the ex. I used to collect beers as a kid. My dad used to travel the country and bring me weird cans and bottles from all over. Most of them are long gone, but I still have quite a few. On top of my TV right now are a can of Guinness and a can of Newcastle from 1985 -- unopened. They are quite the conversation starter.
