Cantillon Gueuze cork problem?

General Beer Discussion by MMMMBEER

So this bottle has crown and cork, and when I removed the crown there was fluid on top of the cork. I’ve had this beer stored in the upright position for about a year now…… what is up with this??? Kind of scared I’ll have a bad bottle but when you’re talking Gueuze is there ever a good one? Corked did open with a bang a brew appears to be properly carbonated. Beer was as good as a Gueuze can be so I don’t think I had a bad bottle, just wondering if this has been seen before and how this could have happened.

i've seen older bottles of lambics that have leaked small quantities out before.. 99% of the time it's never anything to worry about.

Yawn... old hat. I've come across this on numerous bottles that I have not shared with you because your shoes are a foot and a half long and I'm jealous. Maybe something to do with something is my best guess. When I crack my C G I'll keep an eye out for the cork condition and see if we have the same issue.
