While I've never drank this beer I can't help think that anything intentionally flavored to be like peanut butter in a beer wouldnt work for me. I had a Gose once that tasted like PB and that flavour was disgusting. Different beer style, yes. I'll guess that this will only work with the chocolate being larger.

I had a homebrewed peanut butter porter years ago. It was decent. He used powdered pb for the flavor, apparently it had very little fat. The same guy also brewed something with bacon in it.He cooked the bacon and rendered off as much fat as possible. Again, it was ok, had a slight smoke note. The only DuClaw I ever had was Colossus, it was truly horrid. A boozy, sticky sweet mess of a beer, kind of like an even worse Avery Meph.

So even worse than a 99.5th percentile beer? Crazy... [;)]

Last year at the GTMW I stood in line for Kuhnhenn Reeses Peanut Butter Cup brew. It was flipping amazing. I can't remember if it actually had PB in it, but it was awesome regardless.

Great, now all of my Kuhnhenn beers will have to indicate that this product was made in a factor used to process peanuts.... wonderful...

This is a fantastic beer (recently much better than my rating implies) http://www.beerpal.com/Willoughby-Peanut-Butter-Cup-Coffee-Porter-Beer/38086/ So if it's like the Willoughby offering then you should be very pleased.

I thought of you kinger when I saw this thread; I knew you'd had that beer you listed. Just waited for you to chime in...

Glad someone likes that slop. Sickly sweet and boozy is just not my thing. [B)]

Did you forget to mull it? LOL. It was definitely not a top percentile beer, although I liked it more than you did. Unfortunately, big huge beers often get a high base score.
