Brewery Discussion by PHISHPOND417

There is no place like it. And if there is, I want to go there. Read my review of it. If you got some time....[;)]

All roads around here qualify as the road less traveled. (Robbie? Robbie Frost? Is that you? Are you done apple-picking for the day?)I just took a drive much like what you described for 2.5 hours to visit the Kern River Brewery on Saturday. The brewery is small, but bigger and busier and easier to find than what you described, though.

Welcome to the hillbilly mountains... Travis, that sounds like just a regular Sunday drive around here - with a "happy ending" [:D] The only difference between the Ozarks and the Smokies is that there are no armadillos here. 'Possums yes, 'possums on the half-shell no.[xx(] now... you and Britt are due in east Tennessee any time now... Bring John. The drive is not nearly as out-of-the way and it's NOT 62 miles to the nearest spot on the Beer Compass.[:D][;)]

That's a great description of the whereabouts of LYB (and an excellent review, btw). I'll never forget my trip there.

My wife and I are going to Arkansas to see my brother in a couple of weeks. We might make a side trip to check that place out!

Do it. And make sure you bring a few growlers. He'll fill them up for $5!

Sounds good. I got rid of my growlers in a couple of recent moves. I need to get a couple at the local brewpubs first. Great place review by the way, made for a good read! [:)]
