not sure how to add this one...

Website Comments by SLOWRUNNER77

Seems this is a TidePool brewing beer brewed for Sierra Nevada, but I can find very little info on Tidepool...only a facebook page with little info. So crew, do I add Tidepool as a brewer though I have little to no info and list this as theirs, or under Sierra Nevada? Here's all the info I have... Sierra Tap House will be celebrating our 5yr Anniversary this Thursday May 5th with the very first Sierra Tap House Micro Beer. Tide Pool Brewing has brewed a Russian Imperial Stout for this event, named Downtown River Stout. We will tap the keg at 7pm and with a $3 donation to Care Chest of Sierra Nevada you can get a Free Pint! http://www.facebook.com/Tidepoolbrewing

Not sure if it's one and the same (although I believe it is)...via Twitter: Tidepool Brewing is a home brew team located in Reno, Nevada. If in fact they are just homebrewers and have made a beer to dontate, I would say that they would not be eligible to be added as a new entry due to their amateur status. Here's also some chatter about Tidepool. The labels look freaking awesome!!! http://sideshowsigns.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

looks like that's the case...originally advertised as a SN Beer Camp beer, but apparently that's not the case. Oh well... Thanks, man.

This one is confusing to me. The Facebook page tells a lot, but calling themselves a homebrew team and Company doesn't jive. You're not supposed to use the word company unless you are a registered business entity. One idea is to contact them via Facebook and ask if they are really a business or not.

Ha, yeah, you need to have an account. Maybe one of the BP reps will volunteer!

Hey guys, I'm Justin, one half of Tidepool Brewing Co. I randomly stumbled upon this thread while doing our website. Hopefully I can help with any confusion, and also answer any further questions. We a are a Homebrew team in Reno, NV. We are in the process of moving forward to become a brewing company. We are a registered business entity, however we are still jumping through all the legal steps to be able to legally sell/distribute beer. We brewed a specialty beer for Sierra Tap House. (Which is not actually affiliated with Sierra Nevada Brewery, They just specialize in having mostly Sierra Nevada Beer on tap.) A Pint or Bottle of this beer was given out to any one who made a minimum $3 donation to care chest of sierra nevada. I don't believe any of our beers have been advertised as a beer camp beer... however if it has happened it was a mis-print, and not advertised by us. Very sorry for any confusion. We have had 3 occasions with beer on tap at sierra tap house, each time involving a donation to recieve a tasting. We use this to help raise money for Care Chest, and to get our beer out and get feedback from the public. Starting the first week of June we will have beer on tap almost every Thursday (except for cask night) at 7pm. Thanks for your interest!
