No more Big 12?

Non-Beer Discussion by STOUTLOVER72

Looks like the Big 12 will be no more at some point and all that's left is what will probably be coined the Super Conferences. Colorado has signed on with the Pac-10, Nebraska might be next. Hopefully OU, Texas and Texas A & M will come along too. If so, there will be two divisions in Pac-10. If this all goes down, we actually might see a play-off system in the next 5-10 years. Giggity!~~!

I had a great mild called Doc Rem's from Pulpit Rock, a small brewer in Iowa.

Bluejacket in DC is bas ass. I had no idea, and was blown away by both the depth and creativity of their tap list. Reinard (sour) in particular was faaaaaaantastic!

Expected...Stone Unfiltered Enjoy By, and Tangerine Enjoy By Anything hoppy by Trillium (though Congress St surpassed all expectations) Slight surprise (cause it was so good) Prairie Paradise Shockingly good - Drake's War Pigeon IIPA In the south bay - Hop Dogma is worth a visit In the city - Black Sands (tiny place, but legit) Santa Rosa - Cooperage. Great line-up if you want to avoid the daily circus side show that is Russian River

Though I feel like I'm talking to myself in this here thread, I'll go ahead anyway... A new brewery in Auburn, CA is legit. Moonraker - a nice alternative to Knee Deep, or better yet, in addition to (as it's only about a block and a half away). Solid across the board, but the hoppy stuff is especially excellent. Yojo IPA & Dojo IIPA. If it weren't for their food, Auburn Alehouse would be a totally forgotten brewery. As it is, haven't been in a while. Do to it's touristy downtown location, it's usually packed, and it usually is a pain in the butt to find parking. Knee Deep and Moonraker have no such issues....ocassionally have food trucks...and you can bring your own food in.
