Hey Alabama

General Beer Discussion by COTTRELL

Pk - Bluez - other 'Bama residents. Have you heard anything about Olde Towne Brewing Co. yet? I just added the brewery to the database, but not the beers. Supposedly they'll be bottling, the website says, by the end of July, but from what I've heard it hasn't happened yet. They have a brew list up which looks pretty generic, but it's followed by "Seasonal Beers" as well. Let me know when you guys start seeing bottles on the shelves, I would be interested in trying some of their beers. You know, the hunt for one beer from each state and all. ;)

Checked out their web site today, Cottrell. Could be interesting as far as the seasonals go. The others do look pretty generic. I'll let ya know as soon as I know something.

In Reply To #3 An update. Doors are open but no bottles yet. They hope to be bottling within the next two weeks. The seasonals are not set in stone yet, but the brewer has a tasty Oktoberfest that he brewed with an ale yeast. He would like to put that out, but is also considering a pumpkin ale. He's already set up some distributors, one in Birmingham, I believe, as well as others. That said, you should probably be able to get a hold of some if you ask your local packy to order some in. Not to mention, the brewery will feel good knowing people are asking for their beer by name. Hope you find it soon! Mmmm... pumpkin ale.....
