Don't go see "Open Water"

Non-Beer Discussion by KISSMYBASS

Do not, I repeat... Do not go see this home movie on the big screen. Poor picture quality ala The Blair Witch Project(grainey). Not scarey or suspensful. More of a documentary than anything. Save your money and go see Bourne Supremacy instead. One of the best chase sequences I have ever seen. A big thumbs up! Anyways, I didnt get to Corona in time, but maybe I can get to you... In Reply To #1 LOL... yeah, I would say don't go see it as well. However, it has gotten really good reviews. I think the problem is that they marketed this as a really scary movie and it just isn't. They intentionally shot the film that way (looks like something my grandmother may have shot with her video camera) and wanted to give it a more "real" look to it without all the flare. Apparantley they were in the water with real sharks too. And take away a couple scenes and it literally is a two person show. Looks very low budget. The idea isn't bad, but if they advertised it as what it actually was, how many people do you think would go see it? Not me. I went in there looking for all the thrill and scare and found myself bored throughout the 79 minutes this thing was shot for. Shouldn't I get a discount for going to see something that short? I saw Collateral and that was outstanding! Not a Cruise fan but he was very good in this odd role for him. I was entertained throughout. Want to see Bourne Supremecy too, liked the first one and have heard good things about that as well.
