Beer and Food by STOUTLOVER72
In an effort to avoid threadjacking Oiznop's regular complaint thread about the weather, or the Pirates, or something else...let's talk BBQ! For those that grill, what do you gill on? What methods? Let's hear some recipes for sauces or rubs. Are you a dry BBQ person or a wet? What's your favorite thing to cook? Mine is probably babyback ribs. I've got a recipe for babybacks that incorporate Southern Comfort, Jack Daniels, peach jelly, cooked peaches on the grill and it's simply insane. Last year it got 2nd the Kingsford BBQ competition we entered (our pork butt got 3rd). Spring and summertime are right around the corner (or for some it's already here). Time to get grillin'.

I know what cold weather is................I went to Edmonton on Thanksgiving Weekend 1991...it was +11 in Toronto, and -20 when we landed in Edmonton......that effectively crossed U of A off my list of potential grad schools.....-20 in early October is just not right (meanwhile ending up in Memphis it was 68 one Christmas in the early 90s....that's not right either!)

Man, for some reason cold weather just kills my enjoyment of grillin'.
Taking the photo was easy, Lou did all the magic.....many of those bones found their way into my belly that day.

Haven't seen the Stubbs charcoal around here yet. But I do have a 6# butt and a slab of ribs that I'll prep tomorrow as well as my kalterkartoffelsalat ( German potato salad).... Among a few other odds and ends - and beer.
