what beer owns the largest steak in the stock sale market

General Beer Discussion by FLASHPRO

Hmmm, I don't think beer is able to own anything, so I can only assume this person meant Brewer. But getting to the meat of the question, I can't think of any Breweries that sell steak.

In Reply To #1 The 10 largest breweries, by volume, are: AB, Miller, Heinekin, Interbrew, Carlsburg, Comp de Bebidas, Newcastle PLC, Grupo Modelo, Coors, and Kirin. Of these, only 6 are publicly owned (point is that the privately owned ones sell a lot of beer but are outside the scope of the question). Of the public brewers, AB is dominant. To illustrate, compare the market capitalization of 2 largest American breweries, AB and Coors (remember, Miller is South African). AB is 16 times bigger than Coors.

In Reply To #3 My guess, since there was a reference to the stock market: which brewer has the largest market capitalization (share price x number of shares outstanding). That's AB. Another possibilty: which brewer produces the most beer. That's also AB. Well, Clash, I think Flash just put that question up there to show us what kind of stuff he has to put up with at Beer Brain Central! Ha. The answer I posted was the answer to what I guess our anonomous buddy was trying to learn.

I was just poking fun at it. More than 90% of the questions posed seem to be by either high school kids or drunks. Half of them don't make sense at all. Maybe I should feel bad about doing this, but I'll bet the people who ask these questions never return to the site, let alone read the forums.

In Reply To #6 Another spin on that Foam: There are no stupid questions, but a lot of stupid people asking questions.

But gentlemen--a good beer and a good porterhouse or sirloin go together VERY WELL!
