No newletters, but a periodical. Zymurgy... a great little mag for homebrewers. It's also an informative one for those who are simply intrigued by the whole process of beer making.

Dave Alexander's Brewsletter is recommended for all within driving distance of Washington, DC. "BeerGuyDave" hosts lots of beer related events at his two DC venues, Brickskeller and RFD Washington. Check out my reviews of these local favs.

I just subscribed to Great Lakes Brewing News. I picked one up in a pub I was in and decided to subscribe. As you could guess it covers all the breweries etc, in the Great Lakes area. Pretty interesting reading.

In Reply To #4 My local free newspapers are Mid-Atlantic Brewing News and Ale Street News. Both are bi-monthly. I have learned a lot from reading these. I don't subscribe, but I always pick up one of each at my fav pub. I believe both are actually nationally-owned papers with regional offices that produce stories of regional interest, supported by regional advertising. Some of the features are probably distributed nation-wide.

In Reply To #5 I've read Ale Street News a few times. They have a pile of them at a couple pubs in Philly, but I'm rarely there anymore. There was usually always something interesting in it.

I'd love to get a newsletter or some informative information, especially if you could order from it. Are there such catelogs where you can order beers? If so, can you guys let me know how to go about getting it?

In Reply To #7 I don't think there are any catalogs for beer, although you can subscribe to liquidsolutions.biz's online newsletter. Of course, you'll have to endure those ridiculous shipping charges if you choose to order something. I subscribe to one beer zine, BYO, a homebrewing magazine which is excellent. I'll subscribe to Zymurgy eventually, and probably some others. While I was at the Cooperstown brewery, I picked up a Great Lakes area paper that was all about the beers of the GL region. They had 2 back copies too that I picked up as well. They were very good, too bad it doesn't cover CT.

In Reply To #8 That's cool, I'd like to get some informative reading. I'd LOVE to order stuff through a catelog or online but wasn't thinking about the shipping costs when I thought about it. I'm sure it's outrageous. I'm spending enough $$$ on beerpal as it is.
