Who's going to WIN it all?

Non-Beer Discussion by KISSMYBASS

The 2005 Super Bowl!!!!! How about some predictions on the big game this season.... I'm a Dolphin fan, but not a blind one. So my pick will be the Arizona Cardinals. JUST KIDDING! actually my dark horse is the NY Jets. I just hope not, being a Dolphin fan and all. I know its early so if you cant come up with one all you homers can pick your local team, and we can all get a good laugh... Kissmybass P.S. Anyone but the Raiders,Eagles,Titans and Patriots...

In Reply To #20 I hope so!!! I just wish I could plan a World Series party one of these days... Oh well, Rosy Colvin is coming back, the Pats drafted well and you're right they really didn't lose anyone key. Brady's shoulder has got to be healthy though. AND... they've got Corey Dillon now so teams will have to fear the ground game. If Terrell Owens can deal with the fact McNabb throws about 50% and won't get him the ball all the time then I think they'll be tough. but still my bet would be that he starts sulking week 6, has a heated argument with a coaching staff week 8 and is taking random weeks off for "undisclosed" injuries starting week 10. The Bengals should be tough but I wouldn't be surprised if they take a step back this year. Carson hasn't taken a snap and Kitna was the one that took them that far last year. Is Rudi Johnson the real deal? Unproven, and there's no Corey Dillon there in case he's not. Their D is shaky too. I hate to say it, but Miami might finally be tough. All depends on the musical chair QB's they've got going on, but with Chambers and Boston at WR I think I could throw to them. If Ricky rebounds with that defense, they're going to be tough for anyone. They're coach will probably bring them down to 9-7, or 10-6 and a first round loss... What about New Orleans? That offense could be awesome and if they can just somewhat stop the other team they could be real tough.

Well I had picked the NY Jets before the season started. They are still in the hunt. Is your pick still there? I had picked the Padres to be the surpise team in baseball, well maybe I should have picked the Chargers instead. They have the best throw back uniforms by far. My favorite teams the Bucs and Dolphins have been major disappointments, although I think the Bucs are still breathing thanks to a week NFC. KMA

In Reply To #22 As you will all see from my initial post, I predicted that my Steelers would have an "up hill climb." Oooooh, baby baby, was I ever wrong, and I am glad I was. Deuce Staley has been an awesome addition to the running game, Jerome Bettis answered the call when Deuce was hurt by returning to his old form, the defense has improved tremenously, especially Troy Palomalu, and Big Ben? I think the man should run for Mayor!(anything beats the a-hole that is in there now!)....I am just riding the crest of this wave. After beating Jax on Sunday night in a not so impressive fashion, you kind of get the feeling that the year is going the Steeler's way. HEY PATRIOT FANS, HEAR ME ROAR!!!!!!!......STEELERS ALL THE WAY BABY!....ALL THE WAY TO JACKSONVILLE!!!!!!!!!....WOO HOO!......I AM LOVING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oiz

If your'e a Steeler fan (which I am) you have no choice but to say the black'n'gold. I will say this, however, in their last few wins their level of play concerns me a lot - especially when you think of them against an Indianapolis or a full strength New England (which was not who we beat the first time). One e.g. that comes to mind are all of the Roethlisberger sacks in the two prior games to last Sunday. That in my opinion is the real analysis. BUT... ...as I said before, if you are a Steelers fan you MUST say the Steelers.

In Reply To #25 It's not, it's red, there must be something wrong with your browser. Incidentally, the groundhog, or tea leaves, or tarot cards (your preference) say that I will be brewing again soon - if you know what I mean. Look for Stitch to have a Russian hat. In all due respect to this thread... ...GO STEELERS.

Boy do I have a way of killing a thread or what? Did E.F. Hutton speak? (that's probably before the time of some beerpals). Or does everyone just accept the premise that the Steelers are going to take it all? Let's have some input. Incidentally... ....GO STEELERS.
