Im a twinkie fan too. Second to the Cubs. Got to have one in each league? Used to live in the Twin Cities(8 yrs) one of my favorite cities. When your in downtown Minneapolis you must go to Brits- on the Mall the best Scottish eggs in the states. Not to mention all the English brews. Kissmybass P.S. Go Cubs and Twins ( White Sox Suck!)

OK, I've seen some good predictions on this topic and some not so good. A lot of valid points. How about if I go way out there and pick the Dodgers. This will only happen if they get rid of Greene, Nomo and Weaver and get a decent starter and someone that can actually hit the ball. Oh yea, Tracy's got to go as well. There's always hope. I've been blue for too long.

In Reply To #5 Those predictions look decent, but where are the Angels? I've got NY, Chicago, Anaheim and Boston as the wildcard. Natiional League I've got Florida, Houston, and San Fran. (sorry but the Dodgers never have close to enough hitting and now they don't even have solid pitching), with the cubbies the wildcard. An all wildcard world series where the Sox take it in 7 games. Ohhhh... I wish. Hard for me to say this now when they look like a bunch of little leaguers out there in the field. Pedro's gotta pick em up tonight!

In Reply To #9 Man, that Ortiz play sure was reminiscent of something, like the '86 WS or something. Can't quite remember, can you SC? ;) My picks for WS are Yanks/Astros, with the Yanks winning in 6. This will only happen if Pettitte stays healthy, and doesn't pitch like he did Tuesday. I'd love to see Clemens and Pettitte pitching against the Yanks. As you said earlier Contreras is the wild card, and I truly believe he'll pick up his game. I'm a firm believer in that off the field events affect what goes on during the game. Now that Contreras has his family back, he won't be as stressed and can focus on the game more.

In Reply To #10 Regarding the first part of your post - I don't have a clue what your talking about. You must be confused :) Sox defense has got me really pissed off at this moment though... at this rate I'll be ready for football season earlier than I should be! I totally agree with you on Contreras. And if his start the other day is any sign, then he might be dominating the second half. Unfortunately... We'll see though, I'm not giving up. Need a big win from Petey tonight and then need to start to play defense. Shit, Pokey even had a tough time turning 2 the other night... it's a disease!

In Reply To #11 Man, Pedro just can't win in NY, huh? I like our rookie pitcher, he looks like he's 12 but the kid can pitch. I wish he was able to get the win tonight, looked like Torre took him out one pitch too late. Hey, here's a thought, Brown, Mussina, Contreras, Halsey, a great four man rotation for October. Ha, Halsey would have to pitch a lot of great games in between now and then for that to happen, but what can I say, our pitching is lacking.

Im sticking with my A's. They can't lose the first round of the playoffs every year right? But I will raise a glass to any World Champion that's not the Yankees, White Sox, or Giants.

In Reply To #12 Not like he hasn't won there before (earlier this year...) Still can't believe the Sox lost... as a result I'm crank and tired this morning at work :( So much happened in that game I'm not sure where to start. Halsey did look alright, but I'm not sure he's the guy you want in there right now. Brown has to get healthy and Contreras has to still prove he can do it. Timely hitting, clutch hitting... seems that's what NY does every single year. They always have weaknesses (SP this year) but somehow win with ex Devil Rays coming through for them. I guarantee if Cairo was still with Tampa or St. Louis he wouldn't have gotten a hit in that situation. Must be in the water...

I would love the Red Sox or the Cubs win it all. The teams don't matter to me as much as it being a good series. Nothing is better than one that goes 7 games
