Websites for mail-order beer...

General Beer Discussion by KISSMYBASS

Does anyone know of or can recommend a good site(mail-order) for those hard to find beers. Can't find most of the top ranked ones? How can I move from my old/favorite standby (Newcastle) if I cant find a better brew. Thanks Kissmybass

In Reply To #1 Of the following, I've only used liquidsolutions.biz, which worked out very well for me. All of these sites have outrageous shipping charges, there's no way around those. You might want to look into beer trading too, it should be cheaper in terms of shipping. www.liquidsolutions.biz www.beerliquors.com www.beermania.be www.realbeer.com/rbstore/ www.vintagecellar.com www.beergeek.biz www.bevmo.com

Thanks, I liked bevmo.com...It had not only beer but all the other adult beverages? Plus it was much easier to manuever around the website. Plus info and ratings on most... Kissmybass P.S. Where do they get these shipping charges? damn! All of them seem to be quite high. Must have Insurance built-in to accommodate the precious cargo.

In Reply To #3 Bevo Mo-buyers beware, I know from dealing with them on a wholesale level this operation will purchase expired or close to experation brew in a heart beat. BMo is not wonderful about the temps they keep brew at either. The shipping charges are part of the profit-read shipping and Handeling! One way to know if/how bad you are getting burned is to find out who the shipper is, the weight of the product, then give the shipper a call. In Deutschland (tad smaller then Montana) I get 30 half liters shipped from Barndenburg (way East ) to Baden-Wurtemburg (way West) for 3.90 Euro. Damn good deal.

In Reply To #5 Not yes, but HELL YES! P.S. take advantage: I am about to ship a few bottles of Sixtus and some other brews to the USA. Shipping from US to Deutschland ain't cheap, and I bet worse from here to there. Still, when I have the numbers, let's see if it makes sense to send brew West. Have several ALES (yea mean ole Herr Hasse Ales) from Belgium I will get off of at a fair, as in DEAL) if the shipping doesn't kill the thrill. Needless to say I have lager? LOL!!!

Thanks jde123, Johnsgrocery.com looks like an excellent choice. What has been your experiences with them. Quality of beer, shipping charges(avg.) etc. Thanks again Kissmybass

PAY DIRT! I just found this afternoon the best specialty beer/wine shop in my area that I didnt even knew existed. Every beer imagineable, at least enough to keep me trying a new one without any duplications...Anyways thanks for the websites on mail-order but it looks like I may have answered some of my problems. Now if we can do the beer swap , then we're in business? Kissmybass

In Reply To #9 Wow, that's funny you never saw it before. That's gotta be more exciting than finding a $20 bill in an old coat pocket haha.
