Sounds dreamy, mainly because I'm smitten by porters. Not really smitten with MJ, though. At the risk of starting a flame war, he strikes me as too...smarmy. After awhile, I tire of the reviews that sound painfully close to a wine conoisseur. What I like about Beerpal is the fact that, for every new beer I encounter, I read how some of you like them, some hate them, and why. Then I can either buy or not buy. Sorry. I noticed that the Saku Jõuluporter is listed at RateBeer as a separate beer from the ordinary Saku Porter, with a stronger ABV, but according to the brewery website http://www.saku.ee/eng_prod.php (which may or may not be trustworthy) the ordinary Porter http://www.beerpal.com/Saku-Estonian-Porter-Beer/914/ is released each year for Christmas only! Quote: "The best-known seasonal brand of Saku Brewery is Saku Porter, which is a special brand brewed only once in a year - for Christmas. Saku Porter has won recognition also outside Estonia - it has won first place in a test of winter beers in Finland in 1997-1999." So what gives? I wouldn't be sure they were different beers till I actually see the 2 bottles side by side, with a different ABV. As it is, I have had neither of them.
