the perfect score
General Beer Discussion by MYKE
i've noticed when surfing around the pages of some of my fellow beerpals that alot of you don't have any beers rated a perfect 5. there are alot of 49', 4.8's, etc., etc. why is this, have you never tasted ambrosia, or the perfect nectar of the gods. or was it that there was just a little something lacking somewhere, perhaps not in taste or aroma, but in appearance. i find it perplexing that so many have never had the "perfect" brew. i myslef have 5 of them.

Lots of people fear giving out 5s in the event that they'll find a better beer later. How come there's no rolling eye emoticon? When I have a beer and I can honestly say, "nothing would improve this beer", its gets a 5. I think I've only handed out 1 or 2, it's a rare occurance but it happens.

I have never given a perfect score in all my experiences which is kind of ironic. I don't know, maybe I am very hard to please and very critical of all brews I review. Perhaps, the great St. Westy will be my elusive number 5 but I don't know if I will ever get that one anyway though. I will just keep reviewing looking for the first perfect 5 to hand out. Cheers to perfect brew, and scores![:D]
Eh, if you want bad reviews, read some of my first (on second thought... don't read some of my first). But, they got better with time, and still have room for improvement. Don't stop reviewing! The more you review, the more attuned your taste buds become, and the more beerwise you become!

I have two 5s out of my 25 reviews (Free State John Brown Ale) and DFH 60 Minute IPA. I don't think I'm the best reviewer though, so I kinda stopped. I just like those two a whole lot.
Well, I've added 19 retailers and reviewed 45 places, so that's helped. Plus I post probably second most behind myke.

Damn Dansting, you only have 25 beer reviews and you are a level 1 beer guru! I must say, you are a badass, I thought you had at least 100 or more reviews. [:D]
well this will only be post 271, but then again i've only been here 2 months. speaking of which, is 6000 beer caps in 2 months a record of some sort.
