who's your pick to make the post season?
Non-Beer Discussion by MYKE
well now there is only roughly 'bout 25-30 games left in the season and we are in full bore race mode. so, who are your picks to make the post season, in all the divisions? you cna choose with your head or with your heart, it don't matter. well i think the only obvious right now is the cards in the nl central, but the other five races are wide open, and just may come down to the last week of september. i will prognosticate at that time

NOT the Phillies. Clearly, not the Phillies. There, that's my prediction. Profound.

My picks besides the obvious leaders, are Fla and Clev for the wild cards. With the Marlins beating Oakland in the World Series. No, I havent been drinking. Yes, I should be... KMB
Red Sox, White Sox, Angels and Yanks for the AL, Atlanta, San Diego, St. Louis and Houston for the NL. I've been saying that for over a month, and people laughed. Now Houston and the Yanks are at the top of the wild card. [:D] Of course the Yanks are currently down 6-0 to TB (why the hell can't we win against TB?!?), so now the wild card is tied, assuming we don't bust out 7 runs in the final 3 innings. Oh, and the WS will be a battle of the wild cards, Yanks and Houston. Oh, hey Drew, don't give up on the Royals yet! They're only 33.5 games out of the wild card! Hmm... oh.

Dude, I gotta ask...what is this fetish you have with your home team??....Dammit man, be glad you have a competative team over there!...It could be worse, you could have an incompetent moron for an owner like we have over here who hires his managers based on PC quotas, and on the cheap!..and who wouldn't know a real baseball scout from a girl scout!.....I can't wait to see how Kevin McF-wad bungles this next managerial hire!......I don't understand you sometimes, Fan...I would kill to have Bobby Abreu on my team!.......Please explain..................[?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?]

You need to study the Phils a bit more to understand. 120+ years of existence, only one World Championship. The all time loosingest team in ALL of professional sports. A team that has not been to the post season since 1993 (when Mitch KILLED us). A team that has had the SAME EXACT ending to its season the last 5 years: not enough in the tank, the GM does NOTHING to better it heading into the trade deadline, poor starting pitching. Oh, and Bobby A? Right. If I was playing fantasy baseball, I'd love to have him on my team. If I want someone to swing with the game on the line.... Not a chance I pick Bobby A (despite his homer the other night). I've seen Perez come up with AS CLUTCH hits as Bobby A. The guy pads his numbers when it doesn't matter. LOL @ Charlie Manuel. I can coach better than he can. Baseball is textbook. Charlie doesn't know the text book. Fly, Eagles, Fly!

okay as i wipe the egg off of my face i am revising my picks al east: yankess. i say this now as boston plays toronto this week and boston has not been able to beat toronto at all, and i smell a sweep. al central: cleveland. chisox are having worst collapse in mlb history, but will win wild card al west: anaheim. i refuse to call them l.a. al wild card: chicago nl east: atlanta, but philly will make it interesting and get closer than 4 games. nl central: st. loo. obviously nl west: san diego: they may suck, but they are syill the best team in that division nl wild card: houston alcs: Cleveland/n.y. the two hhottest tweams in the league nlcs: st. loo/houston. rematch of last years world serious: yanks/houston. pettitte and clemens return to the bronx and put a beating on their old team.
Damn Myke, shoulda listened to me at the beginning of the month. My picks remain the same. Cleveland is putting on a show, but I have a lot of trouble going against a team like the Red Sox. They'll make it in, at the expense of either Cleveland or the White Sox.
