Here's one for the Beer Brain.......A cool, dark place is best but what is worse for beer when aging, the light or warmth

As long as its not out in the heat it will be fine. Room temp works if you cant acheive a cellar temp. Direct light will affect it, even to an extent in a brown bottle.

Light is definitely worse. But at the same time, you really don't want the cellar temperature to be above 70 degrees or so.

I keep mine in a dark place so they always avoid light but the temp might not be all that cool. So I guess I always thought light was worse. Doesn't really matter for me anyways... I don't have enough will power to let them age for too long.

Here's some (video) comments from Stone: http://www.stonebrew.com/vblog/detail.php?ID=42 Surprisingly, they recommend the fridge rather than a closet.

Heat kills. That is why all imports have the cooked flavor, compared to the originals. Same with domestics as well. Light skunks, heat, is nasty in a different way.
