Kudzu? a cure for alcoholism

General Beer Discussion by STALEYIV

I saw this story a few weeks ago in the news. I then saw it again today in the news and figured it might be an interesting read. Here is the link: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/7884540/

Man, it just hit me. Why don't some of you homebrewers add this to your next batch of brew, it might be interesting. By the way, kudzu does not taste bad, it can be pretty good in preparing dishes as well as making salads out of it.[:)]

Sounds to me the drunks can get drunk cheaper.

Sounds perfect for my upcoming ... Billy Pilgrim's Imperial Pilsner ... "Listen: Billy Pilgrim has come unstuck in time." P.S. I have Kurt Vonnegut's disease (if I hadn't told you, already).

[8D] I've used Kudzu honey in a kolsch while homebrewing and have tasted others who have used it as well. I have not noticed a craving for less.....seems to work the opposite. Of course, that could be due to the quality....hmmmm

Kudzu starch is also used in oriental kitchens (higher end) instead of the less-expensive corn starch. If anyone here watched the Iron Chef, you will see it used quite frequently. So if any of you see it in my kitchen, don't be making any assumptions... [:0]
