In Reply To #1 Without a doubt, PUB!.....I am sorry, but any place that plays loud annoying top 40 music is on my avoid list!......Even if I am going out to scoop on women, it's just not worth the aggrivation anymore!....I like a nice pub with a solid beer slection and a nice (european) atmosphere....with live entertainment (providing the entertainment is not a Country, Top-40, Rap-Hip Hop, or loud Heavy Metal/Alternative artist or group!).......

and i got news for you, you don't have to go to a club to pick up a "female". i've scored many bettys at the local.

I've always been a pub guy, even the ladies that regularly hang out with our group have. However, I do tend to enjoy dancing, so I don't mind the club once in a while - but only if it is decent rock music. I absolutely cannot stand that dance crap they try to pass off as "music". If a single guy all by his lonesome can write and preform it, it is not called talent, it is called "hitting a button".

see this is why i like the local piss-hole, or a good sports bar, it ain't a stupid club where the music sux and is palyed way to loud, but a pub can be to stuffed shirt, whereas a dive has character.
