This brewery does not know how to make a standout pilsener. This pilsener is almost identical to the Powder Hound, except maybe a little darker. Grainy aroma and flavour and nothing outstanding!

K, I've had this on tap before, but I'm reviewing out of the bottle. Light yellow gold brew with scattered floaties. Poured minimal head with very little retention. Aroma is present enough but just doesn't get it done. Very fruity hops resemble a highly sweet lemon candy. Some wheat and malt is present too. Damn this is really fruity when it warms. And a healthy dose of malts too! Aint that bad actually. Getting better every sniff. Flavour has improved after sitting in my glass for 30 mins. Lots of stiff hops and a good dose of mild malts with some fruit. Not well balanced at all. Mouthfeel is on the rough side. Light bodied. Carbonated well. Short bitter bite with some suprising spice and a shot of sourness. Leave the mouth on the dry side. It's Ok I guess but I think I would have to be in the right mood to want more.

Clear golden color, clear like you expect from a pilsner. Full, white head, but didn't last too long. Smell of sweetness and hops. The flavour is also a bit sweet, nice mix of sweet graininess and light hops. I thought was well balanced. A good step up from big brewery pilsners. Will be trying on-tap next time I am in Canmore.
