Yellow with a big white head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of corn and rubber. Sour, sweet and watery flavour with no traces of bitterness. Short finish with notes of vegetables.

Canned. Yellowish golden colour, big bubbly/foamy head, lacing. Malty nose with hints of hay and caramel. Flavour bitterish hoppy with some sweet sticking flavour, which doesn’t fit at all. Dry aftertaste.

One of several beers that my buddy John picked up while volunteering at the World Beer Conference (when it was held this year here in San Diego). With such obscure beers such as this, I feel lousy for not having showed up to help out at this event! In fact, I'm told that this particular beer won a Gold Medal at that very same event.

To be honest, I don't see it. I mean, this was by no means a bad beer -- like I told John, I've *a lot* worse that this, from cans and bottles, foreign and domestic. But a Gold Medal? Huh??

Would have been much more appealing if this wasn't so mushy soft in the mouthfeel. Reminded me of what Kellog's Corn Flakes taste like if they are left sitting in milk for too -- an unappealing mushy mess.

Even still, this wasn't horrible -- killed a thirst while helping John brew some of his infamous Wenchmore ESB (i.e. "Wench?! More ESB!!"). And since this was from a can, there was no chance of this getting skunked, thankfully.

A strictly average Euro-Lager from a strictly typical 500mL can. You can do worse, but surely can do better too...
