The beer is slightly clear, very dark, and reeks of alcohol. There was very little head. The aroma is heavily alcohol based. If you were an Armagnac fan that might work - but you see - I'm not. The taste was more liquor than beer.

Sampled at the Pub St. Alexandre in Quebec City. Poured a deep amber-orange colour with a small head with no retention and some patch lacing. The nose was nutty with caramel in the back and some fruit too. The taste was mixed between orange and caramel with a very smooth mouthfeel. Syrupy with a beautiful candy mouth. Just like the XO Beer Cognac, a great mix of beer and strong liquor.
