Brewed in collaboration with our good friend Nick from The Porter Beer Bar in order to celebrate David Hasselhoff’s birthday on July 17th, this Pale Wheat beer was kettle soured with two strains of Lactobacillus. Bright tart lactic acidity provide notes of pineapple and bright citrus and go great with the hopbursting of Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra, Azacca and El Dorado hops. Grapefruit, tropical fruit and a touch of pine from the hops combine nicely with the lactic tartness and mildly sweet wheat body of this unique and awesome beer. We then fermented this beer with French Saison yeast, adding a subtle spice and fruit note just to keep you guessing. Sound like something you’d like to try? Just ask for the Hoff!
