“.. in the wall” Berlin Wall. In 1809, Napolean’s Army referred to Berliner Weisse as “the Champagne of the North”, a specialty of the Berlin area, and today is often consumed with himbeer (raspberry) or waldmeister (green) syrup added. Ours has a lightly tart, wheat grain aroma and more in the flavor. The pH ended up around 3.4, making it pretty tart but still refreshing. True to style, this beer is only 3.3%

Aroma contains some lemons and funky stuff. Appearance is golden with a white. Slightly sour citrus with some bready notes. Good beer on this hotter than crud Atlanta day.

Pours out clear solar yellow with a fine-bubbled ivory head. Crisp, malty aroma has a hint of pear. Crisp and refreshing flavor is almost more perry cider than beer, sharp and sour, definitely refreshing. Mouthfeel has good body and fizz, better than what I have gotten from most Berliner Weisses I have sampled. All in all, it’s just another beer in the wall.
