An interesting mix--IPA and tea. This is a mildly hoppy IPA but with a lot of additional tea and spice flavors. Although good, I could only drink one or two in a session before the spices become too much for me.

Sampled on 7/5/12. This IPA pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with decent lacing and nice retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, spicy and hoppy. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet, orange and orange peel. The hops are grapefruity and piney. The spices and there are lots of them, Malty Assam Black Tea, Ginger, Cinnamon, Clove, Star Anise, Black Pepper, and Cardamom, really mix well with the hops. I keep picking up something slightly different each sip. Good carbonation. I have really enjoyed this series of beer. Some more would be nice. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear yellow orange with a medium creamy white head that goes to a thin film and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is bready malts and tea spices and cinnamon with a little fruit.

The flavor is a little sweet malt with a lot of tea spicing leading to a rather harsh grassy bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, an interesting idea, but the spices and hops don't really play well together.

Opened my eyes right up, as this was much better than expected. Mild floral hop content with a nice dose of fresh steeped tea leaves and a minor spicy quality. A touch of biscuit and caramel, but primarily floral and spice throughout. Good bitterness, medium bodied and very tasty.
