This blonde is proud of its roots. A selection of pale malted barley infuses with locally farmed hops to create a beer that is an eye-opener on a hot summer’s day. Light, yet defined flavours instil a sense of the hard work and drive for quality that has gone into this blonde.

The beer pours a hazed medium gold colour with a generous foamy white head which quickly recedes to thick rocky islands on the top. The aroma is biscuits, cereals, some citrus, some light fruit, and some herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, slightly creamy, with average carbonation. The flavour tilts towards the malt side of things with notes of bread and cereal, but there is a slight bitter note in the finish. -

Better out of the can than out of the glass. Out of the glass very average if not slightly below. The pour gives way to a kinda malty nose and a cross between a burnt gold and a burnt amber that has a very thin cap and a thin, yet smooth mouth feel. Out of the glass is actually worse than can in this regard as it becomes cloying. Actually I'm not entirely certain what to make of the aroma, but it's alright. You can denote the hops. It's hoppier than most blondes; more subtle than an APA, but really just another in a recent spate of summertime Ontario Blonde Ale's, meant for the lawn chair. Very sessionable but won't knock your socks off.

Enjoyed at Pub Italia on PaleAleRider's b-day. Pours a clean light golden colour with an off-white head, average retention and a little lacing. Grainy cereal taste with very mild grass in the finish. Fruity and grainy light aromas. A decent, light-tasting, fruity, sweet cereal blonde ale.

Had a pint at the Arrow and Loon, Ottawa. Beer menu has this one at 5%abv. Pours very minimal amount of head, thin layer. Has a clear pale golden appearance. Aromas of mild sweet malts and grains. Flavours of citrus and earthy hops, some mild fruity notes as well as hints of grapes. Somewhat of a light tarty mouthfeel. Not too bad and hope to try other beers from this brewery again at some point.
