As brown as precious wood in color, a site for the eyes. Fantastic crowned head with a fine pour. The aroma of the beer is reminiscent of a basket full of fruits and gingerbread. The fine blend of ripe Boskoop apple and exotic fruits such as grapefruit is embedded in a caramel malt explosion. The slightly higher alcohol content has a warming effect and this is thus the perfect beer for the colder days.

    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6

500 ml swing-top bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Weyermann snifter an unfiltered and hazy mahogany, with reddish tones, coloured BdG with a one finger beige and creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is caramel malts, candied sugar and faint grassy hops. The flavour is pronounced caramel malts, candied sugar, fruity, grainy apples leaves, dried fruits, with a touch of walnuts, moderate grassy and spicy hops. The mouthfeel is crispy, sparkling, light sticky and sweety. The texture is oily. This medium bodied BdG has a dry sweety finish. Not bad at all but, for me, a too heavy sweety side. I respect the try.
