The more I have from this brewery, the more I am impressed.... Pours a rich, dark brown/red/mahogany, and clear. Off-white head with big froth. After 30 minutes, there's still a slick of thin bead on the surface. This stuff holds up. Mega malt on the nose....wow....with big rye bread notes and a dry yeast component. Flavour as it smells, plus grain, honeycomb.... backed up with a subtle minty hop, maybe Haller or Hersbr...And a wee, wee note of mustard... This beer is begging for a plate of bratwurst & sauerkraut. Body starts with plenty of medium-to-full malt body, but leaves behind a sweet memory.... A very good beer. I'm going to buy some for general consumption.

Bottled. Dark amber with minor white head. Strong roasted malt with hints of syrup and caramel in aroma. Roasted malt and fruitish taste. Wellbalanced beer, but I’d like to se a bit more carbonation.
