Only available for a short time this winter season and while quantities last, this dunkel is crafted with a blend of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves. This all malt, small-batch brew has a gentle hop aroma, low hop bitterness, sweet vanilla notes and a rich mahogany colour. FOOD PAIRING Big intense dishes such as roast beef or lamb, grilled or roasted are perfect! And for dessert, spiced pumpkin pie with ice cream.

Pours an average size foamy tan head that doesn't stay very long and has an amber coppery appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas of toasted malts, notes of spices, particularly hints of pumpkin spice. Flavours are quite similar with the spice notes almost immediately noticeable. Also some notes of nutmeg, hints of plums and dark fruit flavours. Lively carbonation. Somewhat of an astringent mouthfeel. Pretty good.

The beer pours a translucent dark red with a very thin tan head that quickly recedes into islands. The aroma is very spicy with notes of nutmeg and cinnamon as well as notes of caramel and earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet caramel malt with festive spices thrown in, and a bitter earthy hop finish that doesn't linger. I quite enjoy this! -

Pours a clean deep amber colour with a frothy light-beige head, good retention and some nice creamy-foamy lacing. Wheat aromas giving banana notes with some spices (cloves, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon). The taste has these spices, but they are well-blended with watery malts. The spices and alcohol slightly warms up the finish which is fine for this one. This one actually works quite well. Not much of a dunkel, but a good spiced beer.
