Never heard of the rarely seen, Bavarian-indigenous mammal the Wolpertinger? Well much like the actual Wolpertinger, our “Wolpie” is a little Bavarian in nature; scarcely seen (brewed once a year to celebrate UCBC’s anniversary) and definitely difficult to define…taxonomically speaking. We define “Wolpie” (beer-style wise) as a bourbon barrel-aged Winged Nut, a potent chestnut beer fermented with a Bavarian Weissbier yeast strain. Color: Dark Brown Hops: Super Galena, Hallertau Perle, Aramis Malts: Pilsner, Munich
