Jokingly named by Upright's beer titler Angelo de Ieso after our pal Vasili, head brewer at Laurelwood, this brew is a one-off barrel fermented Berliner-weisse. It's got a pleasantly funky and aromatic nose with the characteristic sharp sour flavor produced by large amounts of lactic acid bacteria. The Lactovasilios was a small batch blend that will only be available at a few places around town.

I didn't even know this beer was 3.8% when I had it but it doesn't matter. It totally blew me away. Beautiful brew that I had two of actually. Bright golden, very citrusy- sour, lots of lacto coming through. Nose is herbaceous, like lemongrass, big lime notes. Full, round mouthfeel. I'm in love with this beer.
