Our first attempt at brewing a pumpkin beer… this beer appears to be medium to light in body… a little lighter in color than pumpkin pie (but the same sort of hue)… in other words… it’s kinda amberish… about 7.5% alcohol by volume, and a little spice forward. Think if we brew it again we will have to increase the amount of pumpkin used… but we’ll let you be the judge.

On tap at the brewery's tasting room, and a growler to go. I'll be using this as a featured ingredient in a batch of Pumpkin-Spice-Chocolate Chili for Tyranena's 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off next week. Clear orange-amber in color with a thin but creamy tan head. Robust aroma of spices: ginger, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Smooth mouthfeel with a latent crispness; light-to-medium bodied. Bright fresh flavors of spice, thankfully more subdued than the nose would suggest, and a mild pumpkin taste with cider-like and honey notes. Maybe a little unbalanced, but quite drinkable.
